✨ Chana’s Beauty Micro-K Hair Extensions Aftercare ✨

Your guide to keeping your extensions healthy, soft, and absolutely beautiful.

First 48 Hours
✿ Don’t wash your hair for the first 24 hours so the keratin bonds can fully set.

✿ Avoid washing, sweating, or getting the roots damp for the full 48 hours.

✿ Keep oil-based products away from the scalp during this time.

✿ Skip tight ponytails — keep everything loose and gentle while the bonds settle.

Brushing

✧ Brush 2–3 times a day with an extension-safe brush.

✧ You must get a Tangle Teezer — it protects the bonds and glides through the hair effortlessly.

✧ Support your roots with your hand while brushing to avoid tension.

✧ Start from the ends and work your way up.

✧ Run your fingers between the bonds every day to keep them separated and prevent tangling or matting.

Washing

❥ Use only sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoo and conditioner.

❥ Your shampoo must not contain isopropyl alcohol — it weakens keratin bonds and causes slipping.

❥ Cleanse your scalp first, then work product down the mids and ends.

❥ Conditioner stays on mids/ends only — never on the bonds.

❥ Rinse thoroughly so nothing sits on the bond area.

Drying & Heat

✿ Always dry the roots completely after washing.

✿ Rough-dry the roots first, then style as usual.

✿ Use a heat protectant before any hot tools.

✿ Keep hot tools under 350°F and never apply heat directly to the bonds.

Styling & Sleeping

❥ Never sleep with wet hair — always make sure your roots and lengths are fully dry before bed.

❥ Sleep with your hair in a loose ponytail or loose braid every night.

❥ A silk or satin pillowcase/bonnet helps reduce friction and keeps hair smooth.

❥ Avoid tight high ponytails or daily slick buns — switch up styles to reduce tension.

❥ Oils and serums are perfect on the mids/ends, just keep them away from the bonds.

Products to Avoid

✧ Sulfates, parabens, isopropyl alcohol

✧ Clarifying shampoos

✧ Alcohol-based products near the roots

✧ Thick conditioners or masks on the scalp

✧ Excessive dry shampoo at the bond area

Maintenance Appointments

✿ Wear time is typically 8–12 weeks depending on your hair growth and home care.

✿ Never remove extensions yourself — professional removal protects your natural hair.
